Although I measured the length of the old laces, when these new ones came in I did not compare the length to the old ones. Once I got them put into my shoes and then tied them I found that these laces were a lot longer than my other ones. Because I like the way they looked and it was too much trouble to unlace them, replace the old laces that had no plastic ends by this point and then try to return the new ones I just double tie them and keep going. The extra length is not a deal breaker.
